Institute for Korean Legal History
The Institute for Korean Legal History aims to investigate the procedures and legal cultures through which conflicts and disputes are mediated and resolved, by conducting internationally comparative research on Korean law, norms, customs, judicial proceedings, and the concept of justice.
To advance this mission, the Center hosts distinguished lectures, colloquia, and academic conferences featuring leading scholars. It also undertakes the translation and publication of influential foreign works into Korean. In addition, the Center is dedicated to interdisciplinary and transnational collaboration, actively engaging with scholars from diverse academic fields and global institutions to foster integrative and pioneering research.
