Research Institute of Comparative History and Culture

The Research Institute of Comparative History and Culture (RICH) at Hanyang University conducts transnational humanities research that seeks to reinterpret the state and society beyond the confines of the nation-state, employing comparative and global historical perspectives. The institute is also dedicated to identifying and advancing underexplored areas of scholarship, with particular emphasis on themes such as law, justice, and the judiciary in Korea.

Looking ahead, RICH aspires to both introduce leading global academic trends and articulate new research agendas and methodologies, thereby shaping and enriching scholarly discourse in Korea and beyond.
